As someone that considered myself fairly knowledgeable about racism within the United States, this course continuously complicated and enriched my understanding. It made me reflect on all of the figures in our country's history whose voices and accomplishments were not heard because they were too bold, too courageous, or otherwise too revolutionary. Our history books only tell a fraction of the story and often don't examine who is really hurt by reducing the narrative to only those who appear on our national monuments. I highly recommend this course for everyone, no matter where you are on your journey in learning about racism and white supremacy, because it will give you the tools and community support to dig deeper.
