As the son and grandson of activists, Johnathan has always cared deeply about Civil Rights. Johnathan is a public academic, higher education attorney, lecturer and podcast host. His activism and academic work is rooted in anti-racist allyship and the effects of individual and institutional bias. Johnathan’s commentary on current events and social issues has been featured on Al-Jazeera, Associated Press, PopCulture.com, Heavy.com, The Daily Progress, ABA Journal, and The Cavalier Daily. Johnathan has a bachelor's degree from Temple University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
